I spotted his domain as a new referring site on my Google Analytics stats. Maybe that means someone else found his site first and clicked the link to me?

Congratulations Steve, you win a pint next time we’re out drinking.
I deliberately added links to 3 people’s blogs and then followed them to see which one is the biggest brother. I’ve got to say that I was wrong, I thought it’d be Mr Morris, but then I guess he’s been too busy just lately trying to become Dr Morris.
The site got spidered by google within 20 minutes of adding the apache config (it’s within 20 minutes of the start of the logfile), now that’s somewhat scary.

Yep, a stock Wordpress installation automatically notifies rpc.pingomatic.com, which in turn notifies Google etc every time you update your blog.
20 minutes is pretty impressive! I guess it’ll take a bit longer for the search traffic to start coming through.
