I went around and around with Nokia about the lack of a wired car kit for the N73. Bottom line is this. Nokia is playing to the teeny-boppers now, and really don't care about the business user. Not enough of them. The volume is in selling toys, not useful telephones.
As for the light staying, my problem too, I would suggest going into the connection setups and changing the car setup to leave the lights on. Perhaps that will work.
The phone has to sense that it is connected to a wired car kit, and that may or may not happen.
In the end I bought the CR-82, which is what Nokia is pushing.
Nokia has turned support in the US over to a really brain-dead company that has minimum wage screen readers providing customer support.
That's the way the industry is going. Nokia was the last to go there, but they are going there.

I a experiencing the same issue, I have a Thinkpad T60 with x1400 ATI Graphics, as soon as I installed vista SP1, now sometimes when I start the laptop or it comes back from hibernation the vista login screen shows black horizontal lines and it's frozen or i start to see the black hotizontal lines and after reboot I get the blue screen of death.

The only think I have it installed besides the OS is the Adobe CS 2 Master Collection. Anyone else in the same boat as me? I tried the link in the comments above but it didn't resolve the issue.

Thanks for the article - very useful!

I was using a Reiserfs on RAID1 - had to resize the raid after repartitioning the disks and hot adding them to the raid by using
mdadm --grow /dev/md1 --size=max
then unmount the /dev/md1
then run resize_reiserfs /dev/md1
this resyncs the disks/raid - to speed up the process I used
echo 200000 > /proc/sys/dev/speed_limit_max
echo 200000 > /proc/sys/dev/speed_limit_min

This forum post looks like the same problem, still no solution though:

<a href="http://www.technologyquestions.com/technology/windows-vista/214009-problem-event-name-bluescreen.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.technologyquestions.com/technology/windows-vista/214009-problem-event-name-bluescreen.html</a>

Using a laptop without hibernation is like going back to Windows 98 - productivity really suffers!
